Limestone is a rock of sedimentary origin composed
principally of calcium carbonate or the double carbonate
of calcium and magnesium or some combination of these
two. Limestone is a hard, impervious and compact rock
with very low water absorption.
Limestone has a high resistance in freezing and thawing
conditions. Due to this, limestone can be used in any
atmospheric condition without getting affected. Limestone
has a very fine grained surface texture. Limestone slabs
and tiles are typically used for floorings, wall cladding,
vanity tops etc.
